Privacy Policy

What CouponBay records when you use the site, and what it does not.

What we record

CouponBay runs a first-party analytics beacon at the /e endpoint. It records anonymous page views and coupon clicks on our own servers so we can understand which pages and offers are useful. These events are not tied to a name, email address, or account, because CouponBay has no login and asks for no personal information. These page-view and click records are kept for a limited period (about 90 days) and are then automatically deleted.

What we do not collect

  • We do not ask for or store names, email addresses, or payment details.
  • We do not run third-party analytics or advertising trackers on the site today.
  • We do not build profiles of individual visitors.

Cookies and third parties

The site does not set advertising or affiliate cookies today. CouponBay plans to enable affiliate links and display advertising in a later phase; when that happens, those partners may set their own cookies, and this policy will be updated to describe exactly what they do before any such feature goes live.

Links to merchants

When you click an offer, you are sent to the merchant's own website. Once you leave CouponBay, the merchant's privacy policy governs whatever happens there.

Your privacy rights (GDPR)

CouponBay has no login and collects no directly identifying personal information. The first-party /e analytics described above record anonymous page views and coupon clicks using a short-lived device hash derived from your IP address and user agent; we treat that hash as personal data under the GDPR and process it on the basis of our legitimate interest in understanding which pages and offers are useful. If you are in the EU, EEA, or UK you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or object to this processing, the right to data portability, and the right to lodge a complaint with your data protection authority. Because these analytics are anonymous and not linked to an identity, we may be unable to single out an individual's records; where a verified request lets us identify them, we will act on it.

A named data protection contact will be published here before any advertising or affiliate cookies are enabled. Until then you can reach us through the contact page.

California privacy rights (CCPA/CPRA) — Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information

CouponBay does not sell your personal information and does not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We collect no government identifiers, financial-account details, precise geolocation, or account credentials. If advertising is enabled in a later phase, the cookie banner shown on the site lets you decline non-essential advertising cookies, and that choice acts as your Do Not Sell or Share opt-out for those cookies. California residents also have the right to know what we collect, to delete it, and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights; submit a request through the contact page.

Changes to this policy

If our data practices change — for example when monetization is switched on — we will update this page to reflect what is actually happening.
